We spent the afternoon with Mme Masetumo at Maseru Tapestries discussing designs for a government tapestry commission. As long as the tender goes through Mme Masetumo and her team will need to produce 14 tapestries, at least 10 of which are 2200x2200 so it is a massive undertaking! Here we are looking at some design cartoons that we hope can be reconfigured. It was unbelievably hot and with the roof being made up from corrugated metal and plastic it was like having an electric fire beating down onto your head! We were only there for a couple of hours but these ladies work there, very often 7 days a week!
