A beautiful day yesterday when we arrived in this lovely wee town. I have taken the Cromarty Arts Trust studio at Ardyne for a week along with Anne Ferguson (glass artist). This morning Anne is undertaking a workshop in glass fusing at the Stables and I'll get the studio set up and hopefully get some work done! We are opening the studio to the public every day next week - Mon - Fri 2-4pm and all are welcome so if you're in the area do pop along.....photos to follow!

ISLE OF COLONSAY FESTIVAL OF SPRING 27th April - 15th May 2015
I'm having an exhibition of artwork in THE OLD WAITING ROOM GALLERY, COLONSAY along with artists Anne Ferguson (glass and textiles) and Carol Paterson (painting and prints) - opening on Sunday26th April. If you're in Colonsay do come along!

I'm heading out and about in Scotland to do workshops, exhibit work and make work which is really exciting.
My full itinerary as follows: (over several postings)
CROMARTY - Sat 11th April - Friday 17th April - I'll be working in the studio at Ardyne (Cromarty Arts Trust) with Glass artist Anne Ferguson and we'll open from 2-4pm Mon 13th - Fri 17th for public visits. Everyone is welcome.

We had a wonderful day in Granada visiting the Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens which was all really wonderful...so much pattern in the interiors, exteriors, gardens, ponds and fountains....a complete sensory overload! So here are a few photos of the Nastrid Palaces to remind those who have been and inspire those who have not....

Anne and I headed to Malaga to track down fabric and art shops but first I had time for a quick conversation with Picasso.....
Then a wander through a food market...
This beautifully restored building was falling apart until recently....rumour has it that Antonio Banderas owns the penthouse suite

These original old tiles are on the bar and tables of the cafe where we had our tapas lunch! Lovely....the tiles and the tapas!
And after the wandering around, the finding of art supplies and fabric shops, a bit of retail (new boots!) what better way to end the day with a glass of mint tea outside a Moroccan Cafe

Very windy and cold yesterday but at least the sun was shining....went for a short walk and found more amazing rocks! Faces everywhere......watching!
