A day of colour and pattern in heat transfer printing! Smaller numbers this week but still a really good day! For some reason I didn't take many pics of the participants during the workshop but they produced some good work and seemed to enjoy their day!
We ventured further towards and beneath the red cliff face...a bit of a scramble but ended up in another hidden nook...quite Lord of The Rings.......felt like 2 hobbits on a ramble!
Yesterday, we spent the morning shopping in Lidl and then at the Trabiche market where we spied a Scottosh sky!
A walk was in order so we set off to do our favourite, up the hill behind the house...its almond blossom time and there is full flower on many of the trees - so beautiful!
Heading up though the scented wild herbs is our favourite bathroom with a view.....!
The slope flattens out into an area full of amazing stones, scrub, including aforementioned herbs, some very old olive trees, low palm type plants, and lovely views towards the mountain - it feels like a secret wild garden. We keep saying we'll go up and spend a day drawing and will definitely take our creative escapes folk here in February.
They had spent most of the week amusing themselves, including a visit to The Alhambra, so we went for a walk together on their last day with us. After a coffee we went to Rio Gordo to see Dick's 'painting' place and then along to Lake Vinuela. It was lovely!
Dick has been undertaking his own creative days....painting on location at the Rio Gordo
I can't believe how the days fly by and here we are nearly a week after the second workshop and I still haven't posted any pictures of another successful day. We moved into colour, all participants dressing in their favourite colourful clothes. I started the day with some basic colour theory followed by a session on Colour Psychology delivered by Anne Ritchie. Lots of hands-on activity with students producing collaged colour boards!
Anne and I had a day out to Granada, obstensively to check out restaurants for the lunch stop for when we bring our Creative Escapees t The Alhambra...still spaces if anyone fancies a last

It was a beautiful day and we wandered around the souks before eating lunch sitting outside a cafe at the foot of the Alhambra. For some reason I didn't take any photos! Then we went to the Hammam for 2 hours of complete relaxation.....warm baths, hot baths, COLD baths, steam room, massage, mint tea....Devine!
The fountains were lit when we headed back to the carpark!
Situated where we are, facing Africa, we see the jet trails heading south. This one was really dramatic!
We set off to meet friends Ellie and Harry at Malaga Airport for 10am to find that their flight didn't arrive until 2pm (my fault!) so took the bus into Malaga for a few hours. A coffee later we wandered through streets not discovered before....
